How to Transform an SEO Trainee into an SEO Expert – A Basic Guide | W3blog.dk - Blogengine.net and Wordpress themes

How to Transform an SEO Trainee into an SEO Expert – A Basic Guide | W3blog.dk - Blogengine.net and Wordpress themes: "There are three basic types of SEO guys …
The Creative SEO:  The creative one needs to be good at link baits. He has got to have a knack of social media and viral marketing. Creative SEO is probably the most valuable asset for an SEO team because these days SEO requires more and more “out of the box” thinking.

The Link Building SEO: As the name suggests, you have got to train them on certain tools and software programs that they can use for link building, while also honing their research and communication skills."

Quantum Jumping - Communicate With Your Subconscious Mind

Quantum Jumping - Communicate With Your Subconscious Mind: "Every decision you make in life causes a “split” in reality…

Which in turn creates two alternate universes—one where the current version of you is today, and another with the version of you who made a different choice. Now think about your life.

Think about all the decisions you’ve made that led to who you are today. If all these decisions caused a split in your reality, each time creating a new version of yourself in a parallel universe who also goes on to make a certain set of choices thereby splitting their reality, you can begin to imagine the infinite versions of yourself that exist."

The Lazy SEO vs. The Lazy Monetizer

The Lazy SEO vs. The Lazy Monetizer: "Adsense site – or a site who makes the huge percentage of its income from Adsense – is lazy monetization, not to be confused with being a lazy seo. When we lazy seo people say things like…

…make the most amount of money while doing the least amount of work possible.

…develop passive revenue streams that maintain themselves using automated systems.

One should never become confused that we mean lazy monetization. Lazy seo’s do not sit around on webmaster welfare… lazy monetizers do. Webmaster welfare has allowed a lot of webmasters to become lazy monetizers. Google will give you a handout for sitting on your ass and not working to monetize the site yourself."

What would you do with $80

What would you do with $80: "I was tempted to say something along those lines as well. ^

I'd probably keep my $80 until I had a solid plan. I'd want to figure out what my goals were and construct a sales funnel first so that the traffic doesn't go to waste.

If you already have those in place, I'd still save the money and drive some targeted traffic by posting thoughtful comments and posts on relevant forums/blogs so I could do some testing.

Then once my funnel is fairly solid, I'd create some awesome content/press releases to really get things moving.

Drat... still haven't spent that $80 yet."

I’m not saying Klout isn’t trying, in terms of assessing influence and engagement fairly. The problem is, it can’t.

Klout attempts to boil down complex social interactions into a single, absolute number.

Systems of standardization, which is essentially what Klout is, have a particular potent history of this kind of reductionism. Until the 19th century, education systems didn’t use grades as we know them. As they became standardized within the broad societal push for public education, they became a shared language and currency for everyone enrolled in that system. You know what an A means, more or less. So does everybody else."

ICANN Should Assess Domain Tasting Registrars With Huge Financial Penalties!

I believe anyone who has ever spent a significant amount of time buying domains from different registrars at one time or another may be likely to run into this problem.

> ***For The Record I would like to clearly state that I feel that the practice known as domain tasting is wrong ***

My personal 1st hand experience is as follows:

I used always buy my domains from a particular registrar that was associated with web hosting. A friend then told me about a different registrar, and it provided both better prices and more useful tools such as a bulk domain search feature.

So I started using them, the one day, I saw the domain I wanted was available via ( a special robot that provides statistics on domains ) yet there was neither a "This Domain For Sale" notice, nor  and other clues as to why I could not get:

That particular domain, with that specific TLD (most likely a .com possibly a .org)...

So I zipped over to some other registrar, (I try to limit myself to three of four so I don't go crazy tracking down my domains) and quietly registered that domain, and vowed that if this were to happen again, I would do the same thing. In other words, with really knowing if some corrupt practices were in place they would have to see that I was taking my valuable business elsewhere, and have to eliminate these sort of corrupt practices.

Therefore is there was some shady practice or some "corrupt" sort of game going on, I would readily have the remedy at hand to resolve it, instantly and without a fuss.

As an US citizen, or simply as an intelligent citizen of the world, it should be no surprise that there in anything endeavor where one may stand to profit, there will be a tendency for people or businesses to try to "cheat" the system or otherwise try to tweak things to their advantage.

Particularly with domains, people who are trying to invest and develop valuable portfolios should use the fact that they are a "larger than normal buyer" and do the best that they can to make it work to their advantage.

Like anything else in life, one needs to learn from the mistakes, and not let others take advantage of them.

Additionally one should not "get to crazy about such things". Finally one should realize that  domains do have specific expiration dates, and grace periods after expiration. Sometimes the domain you want may show as "available" because it actual expiration date has gone by, however the registrar of record might have standard procedures allowing their registrant to renew the domain within a set number of days, possibly between 2-4 weeks!

On a related note, the real issue goes far deeper than this particular practice in this particular industry. I try to write about such "corrupt" practices when I learn of them as a first step, to pushing those bodies who regulate such things to crack down on such practices.

Excellent, MoneyTalk.com for 15K is a nice benchmark! I think I can now roll out my own personal list of high quality domains in various categories:

My current thinking on this is that domains that might have brought in Big Money (in the millions) lets say even as recently as 2005 which was already about a tenth of what the might have been at a different time:

Ex: #105 annuity.com $600,000 Townsend, David 12/1/2005 Private sale Or ... #241 action.com $230,000 Moniker Privacy Services 7/30/2008 Moniker.com MONIKER ONLINE SERVICES, INC.""

Acting and doing is essential for life, for life goes on with or without us. When the great train of life stops right in front of you, and opens it’s doors, all that is required is that you step on, because the great train of life, has many stops ahead, and many people to pick up along the way to eternity."

DN Journal Newsletter - November-December 2010

DN Journal Newsletter - November-December 2010: " I attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison where I graduated with three majors; history, film and English. It was at UW that I started my first company - a cake delivery business that I would sell when I graduated. After graduation I started a golf company which patented and manufactured golf accessories. That would also be sold and that is where I met the Internet, back in 1997.
I had started a product placement firm for television and movies and needed a 'brochure' for my services. The best option seemed like the Internet. So I went out and bought Front Page and taught myself to build websites. Since then I have done work for dozens of Fortune 500 companies including 3M, MLB, Motorola and more. Interestingly enough, one of my first clients was Don Ham (of Reinvent Technology whose brother Kevin was dubbed "The Man Who Owns the Internet" by Business 2.0 Magazine).

After working as a designer and developer for many years, I was finally able to stop in 2003 (when domain income surpassed design income) and focus entirely on the domain side of things."

I learn more from the things that constantly go wrong!

People are naturally interested in other people-Stephen C. Sanders, SocialAdvertising.org
Friday, November, 11, 2011 12:27pm 11/11/11
The concept is known as Murphy's Law, whatever can possibly go wrong, will.

A couple of days ago in another free form post on a different website I was talking about how I would like to protest too! Yet now I also realize that every single person (at least anyone I know) most likely has some sort of stubborn adhesion to some sort of concept that is possibly significantly flawed.

Part of who I am, and what I am all about is this idea of mine of always holding back a bit. I tend to not place all of my cards on the table on any given matter and I am not really sure why that I am that way.

An interesting thing just happened. There was a rather large pause, between the previous paragraph and this one. I notice an attractive women at the outdoor patio area of a local Starbucks in the Rockland County area. [ Editors-note I am condensing a longer story that just flew in my head to get to the point ]
So, here it is, people are naturally interested in other people and especially single people. So I kept the eye contact thing going, and then she left after a few minutes. (Some story right!)

Well guess what, she came back with her friend, so I started up a conversation (people are naturally interested in other people, especially members of the opposite gender, especially if they are single).

So it turns out she, (the woman at Starbucks) is an editor, and as for myself, well, I am a writer, a fairly inspired one at that.

Naturally, I could go on, yet suffice it to say that the initial connection I was thinking of, may have been politically, or socially motivated, trying to extend the things that I think about, or would like to argue about with others about , others who of course, stubbornly adhere to their own significantly flawed theories. Yet I realized there must be so many things within my own perspective which are also significantly flawed.

In life people pick up so many "non-verbal" cues. The theories that abound about how people only use some small part of their brain. Meanwhile it seems if we are all distracted from the things we need to do. Yet these distractions themselves may be entire worlds, waiting to happen. Now even as I set these words down, for immediate publication in the boundless waters of the internet world, I now have two editors in mind, instead of just one.

Here's a picture you can use if needed.

It often does not matter if your picture actually relates to your post, hoever feel free to use it if you like. The way I understand creative commons is that you can use the picture freely, and we do ask (if its not too much trouble) that you attribute it properly.

Photo by Dinah Sanders (my daughter) who happens to be a normal 14 year old teenager, this website can also use a little more traffic, yet I would prefer if you would use this related link, its also my website:

SocialAdvertising.org

So that about wraps things up for the time being. It turns out that my distraction was every bit as interesting (more) than my current project. The current project be a flaw I had found (a technical one) with one of my other websites. The website is missing one word, although an editor with a keener eye then mine might find more.

Can you find the missing word?

Well, like I said the website had a flaw, and it looks like now its down. All these things happen in real time, and the reason why that website may be down, might be related to the same reason that it never worked in the 1st place:

SanCloud9.com

Often I end up buying the .org or even a .biz or .us (even .info) however this time I bought the .com. I mention this only because I thought the website went down, and it does have some sort of issue requiring my attention. I turns out I was using .org when this time I own the .com. More on that later.

I am so glad we had a chance to chat! Keep in touch!

Survey: Most Domain Owners Making Less than $20 RPM - Domain Name Wire: "Domain Name Wire survey shows that 60% of domain name owners are making less than a $20 RPM, and a whopping 40% are making less than $10 per thousand visits.
The good news? Those numbers are in line with last year. Perhaps domain parking revenue has bottomed out? 35% of respondents said their parking revenue in 2009 was similar to 2008. Still, 53% reported a drop in revenue and only 13% an increase.
Nevertheless, domainers remain mildly optimistic about domain parking prospects in the coming year. About 30% think parking revenue will rebound in 2010, a couple percentage points more than think it will continue to drop. 42% think 2010 will be similar to 2009."

Piwik Web Analytics Review: "
The core of an online business is its website. An online business can never be stable without a website where possible customers can view the products or services offered, and read and/or request more information; but it does not mean that having a working website is all you need to have a successful business online. You see, a website is not just an online store; it is also one of the major bases for improving a marketing strategy by analyzing the website’s traffic which can be done by using a website analytics tool.

Piwik is an open-source web analytics tool that you can use for free. It is always within the top three lists of reviewers and bloggers alike so future users can expect nothing but the best and the most comprehensive reports from their websites."

Our Vision is Expanding! « TheWritersCafe.org: "The WritersCafe.org is poised to grow in a new direction. While our Website’s name might owe its very existence to one particular paper publication, the vison of the author of this website was and hopes to be a more interactive website featuring even as many as dozen of other writers.

If anything the name itself of this website does imply a certain variety of topics. However it also very clear at this time that the primary author of this website has other interests which while temporarily might serve the purposes of this website, it also serves to tie its creator down to this one website when there are indeed dozens of other newer projects crying for this web developer’s attention."

What you need to know: videos about the Borde-Guth-Vilenkin theorem (BVG theorem) « Wintery Knight: "The Borde-Guth-Vilenkin (BGV) proof shows that every universe that expands must have a space-time boundary in the past. That means that no expanding universe, no matter what the model, cannot be eternal into the past.

Even speculative alternative cosmologies do not escape the need for a beginning.

The cause of the universe must be transcendent and supernatural. It must be uncaused, because there cannot be an infinite regress of causes. It must be eternal, because it created time. It must be non-physical, because it created space. There are only two possibilities for such a cause. It could be an abstract object or an agent. Abstract objects cannot cause effects. Therefore, the cause is an agent."

What's really going on in Iran?

I am trying out this new widget called Feedjit.

This website has a vast collection of a diverse array of topics. I am interested to know what attracts visitors to this site. Please let us know!

The Feedjit Blog

The Feedjit Blog: "Three days ago Google launched and update that may radically affect the amount of search engine traffic your blog or website gets. They’re calling it a minor update to their algorithm, but it has already had a major effect on some sites. 8 Days ago I mentioned on Hacker News that a site that was scraping the popular StackOverflow was ranking higher than them – by republishing their content. Well Google has updated their algorithm and the scraper site’s traffic immediately plummeted by about 90%. The day-over-day drop is 40%. I’m not a fan of sites that steal content, but ouch!!

Here is Matt Cutts, head of Google’s anti-spam team making the announcement a few days ago.

Collaborative Partnerships | IP Daily.biz

Collaborative Partnerships | IP Daily.biz: "developing collaborative partnerships and investors relationships based on a  unique or novel enterprise which is not easily implemented without some significant commitment of time or resources. By- Stephen C. Sanders, Sunday August 14, 2011, 12:35pm (720-words)

I have recently been in touch with several individuals regarding a few actual business proposals which I have had in mind and have been met with the expected pessimism, redirection, or  simple non-responsive.

The essential problem with my communication style is that unfounded pessimism, and suggestions to redirect are really a very simple code which, thankfully I have uncoded for my own use. Normally pessimism is unfounded primarily because, it is the prevailing attitude. There is nothing novel nor unique when someone shares an idea with some with great entusiasm and belief primarily to have it shot down because the person who its being told to really does not believe in bringing a new business into existence unless of course the person who is doing the presenting has experience and a track record."

The Great Google Caught Flat Footed!

I have some very large and hopeful plans for working "with Google" to make all kinds of cash in large denominations (every thing counts in larger amounts). Therefore even though the web-world at large is often highly critical of Google, I have generally tried to pull my punches concerning this industry giant.

The most obvious is the idea of "Google" being some sort of monopoly. This concept may come into play with certain standard online advertising concepts like CPC (cost per click) and Page Rank (a google term as in Google Page Rank). Thankfully there are some other website metrics out there like, Alexa tool bar ratings for example that also have some very important statistics that are not controlled by Google, rather Alexa is owned by Amazon.

Yet this is the story of how I found google promoting product that is not yet even in any sort of preliminary or even Beta Version!

Is it okay for a giant resource locator, like Google, to promote a product that does not yet even exist?

I am talking about: http://www.picapp.com/

Now when a small independent Web Developer, such as myself, attempt to create some level of hype, interest excitement, or even simply promoting a domain, that may well be for sale. it understandable when such a developer pepper his postings with some hype about an upcoming project.

However:

Copyrighted Materials

Before you put an image in your blog, keep in mind that some images are protected as intellectual property through copyright. This means that the creator has sole legal rights to their works and may not want you copying and displaying them. If you're unsure whether or not an image is copyrighted, it's best not to risk it. However, there are places that make it easier for you to find images you're allowed to use:

When Google actually offers up their "help" by way of friendly advice regarding using pictures from the web, a topic I am sure will be drawing more attention in the days, months and years to come, it boldly supplies a few links:

Guess which one is a website that is "not yet built" that's right, picapp.com.
When you click on their link you get:

Thats right folks, you heard me correctly the great website giant, Google, has been caught flat footed by promoting a domain, that has not yet even been developed.

Just click and see, as of 11:55am ET there is nothing more than the image above to see when you click on a Google suggested source of information. Now tell me plainly, for those who understand how "traffic" and links, from Highly Ranked web sites plays into the Total Web Value, and Domain Value calculation, does this not at least smack of definite impropriety? Does this not cause one to wonder, who owns that domain, and what kind of product is being developed for whom and by whom?

As the owner of record of some older domains, see-my-pic.com and  cmypic.org, cmypic.com and
apptracker.mobi
appcard.us
app4u.mobi
well as some recent acquisitions, imageapp.org, some of which were just added to Sedo.com as recently as last friday.

It seems in my humble opinion that when the  Web Giant, Google, does things like this, they are opening up a huge can of worms regarding preferentially promoting websites or domains that they may (or may not) have vested interests in.

Perhaps as a small consolation prize, as opposed to a large potential "award" for potential class action suits, Google should consider buying any "two word domains" with either the word s; abbreviations, pic or app as part of their names. In a web world so thoroughly dominated by this one company, Google, which is constantly threatened with ant-trust litigation, perhaps such a solution would be both fair and equitable.

AppTracker.mobi
ImageApp.org

I am sure that some of my other domains along these lines would qualify for sweet-heart deals with Google. It would not even take so much to appease my righteous indignation as an actual injured party, in Google's misuse of their great Google Power. Rather than disclosing potential domain values be they in the mid to low six figure ranges, I would happily consider such offers from some interested "un-identified" domain buyer, and then the gripe stops here!

Whats your opinion, we'd like to know.

PS: Never mind that these two app or pic domains are not .com TLD's, I most likely tried to purchase them with this TLD, yet who knows what sort of domains are even bought up by the large domain sellers themselves (with their highly questionable drop domain buying and selling procedures).
