However, by using video on our websites we are able to still capture the “wowness” of an animated gif with much better bottom line results.

When I got my first computer, the TRS-80, I got into font editing software and started making my own fonts. How to Catch an Expiring Domain Name—Case Study & Tutorial—Review of Domain Catchers

How to Catch an Expiring Domain Name—Case Study & Tutorial—Review of Domain Catchers: "A few minutes ago I went to secure the name, and it's gone... it's been sold. I never saw it go to Pending Delete... and it's been expired for a shorter period than other domains in my list, they are all marked Expired - Registry Redemption... I have other domains that expired three weeks earlier, less desirable names, and they are still listed as Expired - Registry Redemption.
I believe GoDaddy is gaming this by showing the better names to perspective buyers. Am I wrong ?
The name I wanted expired 11/8/11.
These are still listed in my account as Expired - Registry Redemption"

A Few Dirty Little Secrets About Backordering A Domain Name - DaveZan.com | DaveZan.com

A Few Dirty Little Secrets About Backordering A Domain Name - DaveZan.com | DaveZan.com: "The idea behind this is is I get around the rule that my registrar can’t actively engage in backordering and “stockpiling” domain names. But I can still do that under my LLC because there’s no specific rule preventing this from happening.

Unfortunately this presents a strong implication, which is another dirty little secret I’ll reveal. Even if you win the auction, there’s really nothing to stop the backorder company from “cancelling” your bid, refund your money, and take the name for themselves.

Now I know this one’s rather farfetched, and I admit I don’t exactly have direct proof. But the reason I mention this is because some people I know have personally experienced something like this happen to them."

How to Catch an Expiring Domain Name—Case Study & Tutorial—Review of Domain Catchers

How to Catch an Expiring Domain Name—Case Study & Tutorial—Review of Domain Catchers: "I was nervous that during that time, Michael would register the domain again. GoDaddy let that grace period run for an agonizing 42 days.

Initial Grace Period Expires: redemptionperiod Status
On April 27 2010, at last, the domain entered the "redemption period". The domain could still not be registered, as Michael had one final chance to renew it, this time by paying a penalty to GoDaddy in addition to the standard renewal fees. I was still nervous. "

How to Catch an Expiring Domain Name—Case Study & Tutorial—Review of Domain Catchers: "Should I, like the article's author, also sign up with other name catchers?

On the contrary. This is the counter-intuitive part. Perhaps Enom and Pool.com are better at catching domains, who knows. But, since they place all the names they catch on auction anyhow, there is no need to sign up with them!"

Eventually the companies who do this sort of thing, which is possibly bordering on illegal will choke on their own system as they kill a huge source of their income. Without domain speculators, the domain industry would evaporate faster than ether!
